Check out Massachusetts Climate Action Network. I just joined.

    Legislative Action Team

The most influential voices for lawmakers are yours. By speaking out for what you believe in, you’re helping Massachusetts state legislators to understand that people care about climate and clean energy.

We will provide talking points and bill information, occasional phone trainings, and help you identify opportunities to build your relationship by connecting to your legislators in between urgent asks. We will also send a few emails when bills are moving fast and need input.

By joining our legislative action team, we’ll help you make sure your voice heard. Through you and other on the team sending letters and making calls to your local state representative or senator, you can help move Massachusetts towards a cleaner more climate-friendly future. Don’t be afraid to stand up for what you believe in, you’re shaping history!

Don't be afraid stand up for what you believe in, you are shaping the future!  If you want to find out more about our 2019-2020 legislative agenda.

    Mass Climate Action Network

The Massachusetts Climate Action Network (MCAN), a 501(c)3 non-profit, fights the climate crisis one town at a time, with the help of local MCAN chapters – and you!

MCAN’s role as a facilitator of municipal-level action is unique among Massachusetts environmental groups. We empower our local chapters by enhancing communication, promoting town-level projects that improve communities, decreasing climate change-causing pollution, and reducing development time for those projects. MCAN speaks on behalf of all chapters to improve Massachusetts energy and climate policies and programs.

    How We Work:

    • Support local MCAN chapters to implement change at the municipal level. Municipalities have been the most active level of government to fight climate change on a worldwide basis.
    • Advocate at the state and regional level for policies and programs that will benefit municipalities and their citizens.
    • Facilitate peer learning and tool-sharing to effectively replicate successful programs from one municipality to the next.
    • Work with partner organizations, including neighborhood and faith associations and affinity groups, to help them take action on climate change.

Looking to get involved? We want YOU to be a part of the movement!
