Legislative Conversations: EJ

As we work to transition our economy and improve our quality of life in the ways we heat and light our homes and develop the next transportation networks we need to understand how we go to where we are. A lot of the legacy pieces we are stuck with now and working to transition from have been placed into neighborhoods and communities that have been under represented politically. Repairing these communities that have been burdened with fuel storage, highway scars, and transportation pollution is a priority but also being smart about not over burdening other communities at the same time. Our final Legislative Conversations will highlight three representatives that have sponsored environmental justice bills that take into account toxins, pollution, and sighting of energy and infrastructure projects by learning from our past mistakes.

Rep. Michelle DuBois of Brockton represents the 10th Plymouth.

Rep. Elizabeth Miranda of Dorchester represents parts of Dorchester and Roxbury in the 5th Suffolk

Rep. Adrian Madaro of East Boston represents the 1st Suffolk.
