A public hearing for Reps. Dubois, Miranda, and Madaro's Environmental Bills regarding the siting of projects and protecting communities from pollution. This bill codifies environmental justice into law and works to secure strong enforcement of Executive Order 552, issued under Gov. Patrick and the state’s EJ policy, issued in 2002 and updated in 2017. It provides protection of and meaningful involvement for all people in the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws. These bills were highlighted in our Legislative Conversations webinar series earlier in the year.
