Join MCAN and our partners for the first public viewing of the #StopPeabodyPeaker film in-person at the Torigian Senior Center (75R Central St., Peabody, MA)
Over the past two years, residents of the North Shore and advocates across the Commonwealth have been fighting to stop the dirty Peabody Peaker – a brand new $85 million oil and gas peaking power plant being built in an environmental justice community in the city of Peabody. As we were testifying, marching, rallying and so much more, local filmmaker Steven Andrada was capturing it all.
After months of work, the documentary telling the story of our fight for health, justice, and a livable future is ready to be shared and will be available for public viewing for the first time!

The MCAN community has contributed so much to this effort, and we want you all to join us in celebrating the immense progress that, together, we have made. Furthermore, we hope that this screening will inspire us all to recommit ourselves to our continued efforts to build a fossil-free future for all in Peabody and across the Commonwealth.
